Rose got his start in the art world in the 80s and 90s as an acrylic painter. He studied fine art in college under the tutelage of reknowned master atist Dan Weldon, and exhibited art works in Long island Galleries. In the early 2000s, Rose shifted his attention to photographing the grand landscapes of the Western US, and after a 14 year career forecasting the weather for the National Weather Service, he resigned in 2016 to become a full-time nature photogrpher. His award-winning work has appeared in various magazine and calendar covers, and he is the author of several photography books. Upon moving to the Sedona area from Colorado, he fell in love with the natural beauty of Sedona and decided it was the perfect location to open a gallery of fine art nature photography.
